This Privacy Policy describes how Maranatha Technologies ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information through LivingWord Chat ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, and organization details (name, address, phone number, website).
Chat Conversation Data
We store messages exchanged between visitors and the AI assistant, including any personal information visitors voluntarily provide during conversations (name, email, phone number).
Usage & Analytics Data
We collect information about how you use the Service, including message counts, session data, feature usage, and page views (via Google Analytics, if enabled by your organization).
Payment Information
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide the Service: To operate the AI chat, display organization information, and enable dashboard features.
- Improve the Service: To analyze usage patterns and improve AI response quality.
- Billing: To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Support: To respond to support requests and communicate important updates.
- Crisis Detection: To detect potential crisis situations (suicide, self-harm) and provide emergency resources.
3. Chat Data
Conversations between visitors and the AI are stored to provide session history and enable the conversations dashboard feature. Important details about chat data:
- Visitor personal information collected through chat (name, email, phone) is accessible to your organization via the dashboard.
- Conversations may be reviewed for safety purposes (crisis detection) and service improvement.
- Organizations can view and export their conversation data through the dashboard.
- Chat data is associated with the organization that owns the API key used in the widget.
4. AI Processing
Messages are sent to the Anthropic Claude API for AI response generation. This processing is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Anthropic does not use API data to train their models. We do not share your organization's custom configurations (statement of faith, organization details) with any third party other than Anthropic for the purpose of generating responses.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the Service:
- Anthropic — AI response generation (Claude API)
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
- SendGrid — Transactional email (password resets, notifications)
- Railway — Application hosting and infrastructure
- Cloudflare Turnstile — Bot protection on forms
- Google Analytics — Website analytics (if enabled)
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained while your account is active.
- Chat data: Retained while your organization's subscription is active.
- After termination: All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account termination.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS).
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms (ASP.NET Identity).
- API keys are stored as hashed values; only the key prefix is visible after creation.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you or your organization.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.
- Data Export: Export your conversation data (available on Enterprise tier via dashboard, or by contacting support).

10. Cookies
We use the following cookies and similar technologies:
- Session cookies: To maintain your authenticated session in the dashboard.
- Local storage: To store your authentication token and user preferences.
- Google Analytics cookies: If Google Analytics is enabled, standard analytics cookies are used to track page views and usage.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or through the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
