Who is Jesus?
The most important question anyone can ask. Here is what the Bible teaches.

Jesus is God
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity. He is fully God — co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Holy Spirit.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” — John 1:1 (ESV)
Jesus Became Man
The eternal Son took on human flesh, born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man — two natures united in one person.
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” — John 1:14 (ESV)
Jesus Lived a Perfect Life
Unlike every other human being, Jesus never sinned. He perfectly obeyed God’s law in thought, word, and deed.
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” — Hebrews 4:15 (ESV)
Jesus Died on the Cross
Jesus willingly went to the cross to bear the punishment for the sins of all who would believe in Him. His death satisfied God’s justice and demonstrated God’s love.
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 (ESV)
Jesus Rose from the Dead
On the third day, Jesus rose bodily from the grave, conquering sin and death. His resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said.” — Matthew 28:6 (ESV)
Jesus is the Only Way
There is salvation in no one else. Jesus is the only mediator between God and man, the only way to be reconciled to God.
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12 (ESV)
